I have been pretty sick the past few days, and just feeling icky and blah. I feel like I just need to detox or something. So, I ran today. I've recently discovered that, contrary to previous thought, I actually enjoy running. The rythm of my feet pounding along with the beat of whatever song I'm listening to at the moment is rather therapeutic when I need it to be. I find myself getting in the mood every once in a while (like today) and just gearing up, stretching out, pushing play on the iPod, and taking off. Then about 5 or 6 minutes later I remember that my feet are incredibly flat, which causes my pseudo-arch to cramp and my achilles tendon to catch on actual fire. So, I ran for about twelve minutes then walked for about 10. It's a start. I had a long competition today with my danceteam, so now I'm going to hot tub, get in sweats, and do some reading.

find a good running store - RUNNING ONLY store where all they do is specialize in running gear. They should be able to analyze your foot, your gait and recommend the proper shoes, inserts and arch support. The proper foot wear makes all the difference. It will probably set you backabout $125 to $150 for good shoes and inserts but it is well worth it! (my store is Road Runner Sports - I am not sure if they have one in your area)

I was just looking back at this. The running advice was obviously Matt, and he for got to switch user names. Funny.
